Vegetable Twister

Veggie Spaghetti
This takes playing with your food to a whole new level. When I was young, I LOVED my Plah-Doh spaghetti maker, so of course I love this new kitchen gadget.

You can use almost any type of vegetable in the Vegetable Twister. It can turn your boring meal into a piece of art. Mmmm I can just taste some lovely sweet potatoes twirls!

Snowlight

SkiLights
My husband is counting down the days until our first possible snow. I, on the other hand, could use a few more months of warm weather. If you are a snowbunny who can’t wait for the first snowfall to head out onto the slopes, here is a great product for you.

An electrical strip is connected to the ski and provides a luminescence to either help guide those in your party, or it can be seen from a great distance. I guess it wouldn’t be a lot of help unless you skiied at night or enjoyed getting off the beaten path.

CD Player Shoe

CD Sneaker
If this doesn’t scream 1985, I don’t know what does. Also, if you’re still stuck in the 80’s, this is the perfect shoe for you!

Not sure if it is real, but if they are, they would give these shoes a “run” for their money!

Sticky Lights – Plaster your wall with light bulbs

Sticky Lights
My obsession with lighting continues.

These things are just fantastic. Each light bulb, created by Chris Kabel, is encased in a capsule of sorts that has an adhesive backing for you to stick the light bulbs where ever you please.

The only downsides are that it seems the sticky is an all-or-nothing deal where if you don’t like where you stuck it the first time…too bad. Plus you’ve got to by them two at a time at around $25 each. I guess that’s the price you’ve gotta pay for art…or something.

They’re available for purchase at 0900-design.

Disco Drink Coaster

Animated Disco Coaster
Instructables user, ebenupton, has posted a detailed run through of how you can build your own little disco drink coaster to wow your friends (or yourself, if you’re bored).

The coaster isn’t available for purchase and does indeed require a bit of electrical work, but just follow the instructions closely and you should be fine.

The coaster hooks up to your computer and will display any video on the coaster, giving a unique lighting experience for each person.

Check out this video of the coaster in action:

Glow Stick Straws

Glow Stick Straws

Want to be the coolest person at your next party? Try these new Glow Stick Straws. The straw is crimped at each end, to hold in a glow stick. When you drink, the glow stick moves up and down.

For $8 for 6 assorted colors, this is just too fun to pass up.
